Dr. Vasquez is a board-certified obstetrician-gynecologist whose clinical home is high-touch prenatal care and minimally invasive gynecology. She is known for translating complex options into language families can use, whether the question is induction timing, fibroid management, or perimenopausal hormone therapy.
Before joining Merrifield she trained in a busy academic maternity service and continues to teach residents about respectful maternity care, hemorrhage prevention, and patient-centered contraception counseling.
We review medications that should be switched before conception, update vaccines, discuss genetic carrier screening, and set a realistic timeline. If conception is taking longer than expected, we begin a thoughtful evaluation rather than watchful waiting without a plan.
From the first positive test through postpartum recovery, you will know who is on your team. We screen for hypertensive disorders, gestational diabetes, and mood changes, and we teach you which symptoms deserve a same-day message.
Newborn days are beautiful and exhausting. We check bleeding, blood pressure, incision healing, lactation comfort, and contraception so you are not left to piece recovery together on your own.
We help you interpret newborn feeding cues, recognize jaundice concerns to raise with pediatrics, and plan spacing of future pregnancies when you are ready. Obstetrics does not end at delivery.
